Job summary

A leading company in technology is seeking an Engineering professional to contribute to MFP product design and validation processes. The role involves preparing documentation, working on design evaluations, and collaborating with vendors to ensure manufacturability. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and CAD skills are encouraged to apply, regardless of experience level.

Qualifications

  • Preferably have 2 years of working experience, but fresh graduates are welcomed.
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
  • Willing to perform overtime.

Job description

  • Prepare documentation for product & hardware specifications and requirements
  • Drawings creation or modification with Technical Information (TI)
  • Work with vendors and internal related departments on parts manufacturability for tooling fabrication or modification of tooling
  • Design & development for MFP products architecture
  • Verification of part Design, part functionality and capability during the project development stage (EVT/DVT/MVT)
  • Detailed design of MFP sub-systems, ability to handle design review, design calculations, design simulations (FA, DFM, DFMEA, etc.)
  • Responsible for design documentation, developing of engineering validation test plan and perform validation of new design, BOM, and cost estimations
  • To perform product evaluation, failure analysis (FA) and troubleshoot of problems or defects
  • Support and work for product value engineering (VE) and cost down (CD) activities for new and existing products

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
  • Preferably have 2 years of working experience, candidate with no working experience is welcome to apply too
  • Plastic and metal stamping process knowledge
  • General understanding of mechanism and controls
  • Knowledge of CAD operations; CATIA V5, Pro-E, IDEAS, and CCD will be an added advantage
  • 3D Cad modelling skills and able to read 2D drawings
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
  • Willing to perform Overtime
