Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage in both conceptual and detailed design of mechanical parts and modules mechanisms.
• Perform technical analysis (e.g. structural, thermal management, FMEA and Design for Manufacturing) to validate and optimise design to ensure designs meet specifications, project timeline and cost objectives.
• Work closely with supplier/vendor on part DFM and resolve technical issue to meet design requirement.
• Have opportunities to participate in technical discussions and present design solutions to clients.
• Coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
• Author specifications, requirements, and validation plans for assigned design modules.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams and part suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support reasonable accommodation of additional duties as assigned by the company.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• Good knowledge and experience in product design.

Experience in designing for plastic molding, sheetmetal stamping, diecasting, machining and extrusion. Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.

• Proficiency in simulation tools, mechanical FEA and programming skills (e.g., Python) would be an added advantage.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-driven team player who is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for occasional overseas travel.
