Position: Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all monitoring systems of the building management facilities are in good operating condition (error-free) and provide feedback on all alarms and errors generated from BMS.
  2. Perform scheduling of facilities and building management services to facilitate events and arising requirements.
  3. Report and compile daily feedback, faults, and activities related to building management facilities.
  4. Operate the plant at the most efficient operating condition and ensure all abnormalities are reported for corrective actions.
  5. Validate all facilities & building management maintenance work carried out by contractors and ensure compliance with prescribed standards.
  6. Perform routine building management activities including inventory control, critical systems checks, and functional testing. Respond to facilities crises such as power outages, fire alarms, and ACMV outages.
  7. Analyze data to identify trends in facility issues, determine root causes, and take appropriate actions.
  8. Respond to BMS alerts, investigate, and provide feedback on outstanding issues or events, including emergency situations, and standby as required.
  9. Provide technical support for M&E operations, including operation, maintenance, and repair of mission-critical equipment supporting 24x7 activities to achieve 100% uptime and compliance with SLAs.
  10. Assist in site construction activities and installations, coordinating with external contractors to ensure adherence to standards. Witness testing during commissioning and validate operational documentation.
  11. Maintain compliance with local workplace safety & health (WSH) standards and electrical and building codes.
  12. Ensure adherence to SOPs and ERP for critical environments, and follow change control processes.
  13. Participate in building management maintenance for planned and emergency events, ensuring activities are executed reliably to support critical loads.
  14. Coordinate with cross-functional teams as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Higher Nitec / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' practical electrical and mechanical engineering experience in managing electrical & mechanical systems for critical building management facilities, such as telecom, broadcast, or data center buildings.
  • Respect, teamwork, and drive.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Availability to be contactable 24/7.
  • Willingness to perform rotation shift duties.
