Job description
Overview

Undertake detailed mechanical engineering and piping to support proposal/project execution teams and deliver profitable projects.

Responsibilities
  • Receive the basic process design from the proposal/sales team.
  • Develop cost effective and innovative water/wastewater treatment mechanical design that meet process design basic and requirements.
  • Develop layout, skid drawings, fabrication drawings, isometrics, piping layout, support layout, cable tray layout, interface drawings and any other materials relevant to proposals submission.
  • Review and understand project specifications to ensure company design complies with customer specifications.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and equipment sizing.
  • Prepare equipment datasheets (valve list, equipment list, piping schedule, instrument list, etc.).
  • Prepare complex equipment layout/skid 3D model to ensure compliance with project/proposal specification.
  • Develop project costing through lifecycle of the project.
  • Develop technical RFQs by working with internal teams (BD, proposal/sales, engineering, operations, HSEQ), as required.
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and risk assessment process.
  • Participate in and present in customer meetings and design reviews if required (Bid Clarifications, HAZID/HAZOP studies).
  • Prepare detailed Mechanical engineering deliverables (e.g. design basis, equipment design calculations, PFD, P&IDs, HMB, equipment lists, daasheets, as-built drawings).
  • Support commissioning/site project related activities where and when required.
  • Support on site construction/inspection and related activities where and when required.
  • Provide process support for O&M contracts including optimization and troubleshooting when required.
  • Maintain good communication with all stakeholders and provide visibility on direction and results.
  • Continuous learning and improving knowledge on technologies and designs.
  • Review of vendors, fabricators and sub-contractors’ quotations and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree/Post Degree in Engineering: Mechanical or Chemical or Environmental is preferred
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial water/wastewater treatment
  • Experience in total mechanical design of water/wastewater treatment
  • Experience in the design of complex skid-based industrial water treatment systems
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of industry standards and specifications
  • Able to work in multi-cultural teams
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Willing to travel
