Job summary

Surbana Jurong in Singapore is seeking an experienced M&E Resident Technical Officer (RTO) to supervise M&E works on a major project in Changi. You will oversee chiller plant and AHU installations, ensure safety, quality, and compliance, and coordinate with consultants and contractors.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and has at least 5 years of hands-on site supervision experience in M&E, testing and commissioning, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on site supervision experience in M&E works.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, testing & commissioning procedures, and construction methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise M&E construction works, including chiller plant and AHU installations.
• Attend project, design, technical, and progress meetings, and maintain records and meeting notes.
• Witness site demonstrations, testing and commissioning activities, and follow up on issues with consultants and contractors.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements and site safety standards.
• Review and monitor M&E installation works, sequencing, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Identify and resolve site clashes and coordination challenges relating to M&E services.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed per approved drawings and specs.

We are seeking an experienced M&E Resident Technical Officer (RTO) to supervise Mechanical & Electrical works, including chiller plant and Air Handling Unit (AHU) installations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise M&E construction works, including chiller plant and AHU installations.
• Attend project, design, technical, and progress meetings, and maintain proper records and meeting notes.
• Witness site demonstrations, testing and commissioning activities, and follow up on outstanding issues with consultants and contractors.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements and site safety standards.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution; or
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on site supervision experience in M&E works.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, testing & commissioning (T&C) procedures, and construction methodologies.
• Experience with chiller plants, AHUs, and multidisciplinary coordination in a construction environment.
