A construction and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking to hire a professional to lead and supervise M&E system operations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include managing maintenance works, handling contracts, and leading initiatives for energy efficiency. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Tasks & responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team to manage the operations of the M&E System.
Plan and implement routine and preventive maintenance for building’s M&E systems.
Assist to prepare operation budgets and cyclical works and capital expenditure.
Manage contract management, handle tenders for M&E service contracts and implement preventive maintenance programme, standard operating procedures for M&E operations and equipment and measurement of system performance.
Address tenant feedback promptly and attend tenancy meetings related to operations.
Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives.
Handle all day-to-day administrative tasks and perform standby duty on emergency call back service.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications & experience
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or its equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in M&E system with industrial and A&A projects in Singapore. Familiarity with local construction codes and standards and authorities compliance and submission.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
