Job summary

One Vogue Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to design automation machines, jigs and components using SolidWorks. The role involves creating 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings, and supporting senior engineers in design projects.

You will coordinate with electrical and automation teams, prepare BOMs, and assist with assembly, testing and commissioning. Training is provided for growth in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn; training is provided.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, with the ability to create 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Basic understanding of mechanical components and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing automation machines, jigs, fixtures and mechanical components using SolidWorks.
• Create and update 3D models, assemblies and 2D engineering drawings.

• Select suitable mechanical components, including motors, cylinders, bearings, sensors and actuators.
• Assist with machine assembly, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Coordinate with electrical and automation engineers to integrate mechanical and control systems.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and maintain engineering documentation.
• Liaise with machinists and suppliers on part fabrication, and support machine installation, testing and design improvements when required.
