Job summary

A growing technology company in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in semiconductor or automation equipment design. In this role, you will lead projects, maintain design documentation, and provide technical support across various teams. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Job description

Job Description:

• Conduct equipment design & development work according to customers and internal specifications.
• Act as project lead to plan, organize and co-ordinate their respective project’s meetings to review design and ensure projects are kept to schedule.
• Maintain and control relevant documents related to R & D activities per requirements.
• Maintain, keep track and ensure Billed Materials is updated.
• Generate detailed 2D/3D drawings.
• Raise ECN for update of changes to design and drawings and follow up on approval and ECN flow.
• Provide technical support to process & production, supply chain & QA for review and trouble-shooting of design and drawings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant disciplines.
• At least a minimum 4 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or automation equipment design. Candidate with more years of relevant experience would be considered for Senior position.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Words, Excel, Powerpoint) are required.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and engineering techniques are required.
• Plentiful experience of mechanical designs using Solidworks is preferred. Candidate with Autodesk/Auto CAD Software will be an advantage.
• Solid knowledge and experience in material properties are required for Senior position.
• Good communication, time management, problem-solving and decision-making skills are required for Senior position.
• Willing to travel for overseas projects if required.
• Basic salary commensurate with experience.
