Ascendze Pte. Ltd. seeks a Mechanical Automation Designer to join a multi-disciplinary team building automation machines for diverse manufacturing sectors.

Junior engineers with 2 years of experience are welcome as trainee designers, reflecting a hands-on learning environment. You will design mechanical automation systems using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor, coordinate with suppliers, and support installation and commissioning with clear documentation and training materials to enable smooth

Formación

• Proficient in 3D CAD and 2D drafting for automation projects.
• Experience with supplier sourcing and BOM development.
• Knowledge of mechanical sizing and manufacturability.
• Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years in automation or equipment design.

Responsabilidades

• Design mechanical automation systems using 3D CAD and 2D drafting tools to deliver manufacturable solutions.
• Source materials and suppliers to ensure timely availability and cost-effective procurement for design projects.
• Develop detailed assembly and component designs to support efficient machine fabrication and integration.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with supply chain stakeholders to ensure on-schedule delivery of automation equipment.
• Collaborate with assembly teams to resolve mechanical issues and provide troubleshooting support to optimize machine performance.
• Provide onsite technical support during installation and commissioning phases to ensure successful deployment.
• Prepare comprehensive training manuals and conduct user training sessions to enable effective operation of automation systems.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including bills of materials, project schedules, user manuals, and training materials to support project execution and knowledge transfer.

• Design mechanical automation systems using 3D CAD and 2D drafting tools such as Solidworks or AutoDesk Inventor to deliver precise and manufacturable automation solutions
• Source materials and suppliers to ensure timely availability and cost-effective procurement for design projects
• Develop detailed assembly and component designs to support efficient machine fabrication and integration
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with supply chain stakeholders to ensure on-schedule delivery of automation equipment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to support documentation and reporting tasks
• Strong knowledge of mechanical component sizing and sourcing to inform design decisions
• Experience in automated equipment and automation design within semiconductor or hard disk manufacturing environments
• Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in automation or equipment design
• Candidates at Diploma/design level in Mechanical or Mechatronic disciplines are encouraged to apply as Assistant Engineers
• Retired Automation Designers may be considered for contract roles
