Job summary

ST Engineering seeks an Assistant Engineer, Mechanical (Changi) to join the maintenance team. You will supervise a crew for mechanical, diesel and air-conditioning works onboard vessels or in workshops, plan schedules, and coordinate with customers and suppliers.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to manage people and work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering is required.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• People management/supervision experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team for maintenance and overhauling jobs onboard vessels or in workshop.
• Plan and coordinate with customers and suppliers on works to be carried out.
• Prepare, coordinate and monitor work schedule.
• Manage daily manpower deployment.
• Perform site inspection and work discussion.
• Assess and ensure safety requirements and permits are followed.
• Provide logistic support (spares indent and follow-up).
