Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a professional, proactive approach. You will be an effective communicator, procedurally minded, and have experience working effectively with customers, consultants, and the supply chain. Additionally, you will have an organized and methodical nature, be persistent and thorough, with experience in delivering mechanical and electrical services aligned with project goals.

Job Purpose

To deliver a quality service and product to clients in line with project goals by collaborating with the project team and applying culture, systems, and procedures. Specifically, to manage the mechanical and electrical services engineering design/installation process and minimize associated risks to the project and company.

Key Responsibilities

Operational responsibility for delivering mechanical and electrical services engineering works, focusing on Health and Safety, programme, and quality. Specific responsibilities include:

• Attend and chair meetings with designers, specialist contractors, and team members where appropriate.
• Develop baseline programs and implement ongoing changes to the planning department.
• Contribute to the weekly Project Report and attend Project Meetings.
• Monitor and respond to client, contractor, and sub-contractor RFIs.
• Review designers' and contractors' drawings for completeness and compliance with contract requirements.
• Check ongoing installation for adherence to contract specifications.
• Provide expertise in planning and executing engineering commissioning.
• Ensure the delivery of engineering works on assigned projects.
• Guide the production of the project programme.
• Produce monthly Engineering Services Status Reports.
• Apply Value Engineering skills.
• Recommend suitable specialist contractors, systems, and manufacturers.
• Contribute engineering services content to tender proposals.
• Represent the company at pre-qualification and tender meetings.
• Mentor Mechanical & Electrical Supervisors.
