Job description

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

We are one of the largest one-stop Underground Utilities Infrastructure companies based in Singapore. We provide Underground Utilities Infrastructure construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as asphalt pre-mix production and construction waste recycling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Mechanic (Machine) you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of heavy construction machinery and mechanical systems. Your work ensures minimal equipment downtime and maximum reliability across our underground utility and road work projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as excavators, breakers, compactors, and generators.
  • Inspect machines for malfunctioning parts and identify repair needs.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel engine issues.
  • Replace or repair defective components and test machinery to ensure functionality.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain service logs, repair history, and equipment checklists.
  • Respond to urgent repair requests, including on-site troubleshooting when needed.
  • Assist in equipment setup and calibration before deployment to project sites.
  • Coordinate with Workshop Supervisor and Site Engineers on equipment availability and readiness.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the immediate superior or Head of Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • NITEC / Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, or relevant trade certification.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in repairing heavy construction machinery or mechanical equipment.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on workshop or outdoor environment.
  • Good team player with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Preferably possess a valid Class 3 license.

  • Work Schedule: 6-day work week.
  • Shift rotation is required based on operational needs.
  • Location: Office at No. 3 Sungei Kadut Drive, Singapore 729556 (North Singapore)
