Job summary

A leading company in Singapore is looking for a Mechanic to perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on various machinery and vehicles. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment swiftly. Job description

Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, forklifts, and tools.

• Diagnose faults and perform repairs promptly to minimize equipment downtime.

• Ensure machinery and vehicles are functioning according to safety and operational standards.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Replace or repair faulty parts, including belts, motors, gears, hoses, etc.

• Work closely with production staff to understand and solve recurring issues.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and service history.

• Report any major breakdowns or equipment defects to the supervisor immediately.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.

• Monitor inventory of spare parts and assist in reordering when needed.

• Comply with company safety regulations and use proper PPE at all times.

• Ensure that equipment maintenance is done in accordance with statutory and company safety standards.

• Assist in installation of new machines or equipment when required.

• Support mechanic helper in training and task delegation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance, and repair procedures

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of industrial machinery and equipment.

• Hands-on experience with equipment installation, repair, and upgrades.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
