About the role

As a Mechanic (Construction Equipment) at ALPHA ASSOCIATE ENGINEERING PTE LTD, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of construction equipment, including Engines, Piling machine, and cranes. This is a full-time position based in the Tuas West Region. Your mechanical expertise and problem-solving skills will be vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's construction machinery.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting regular inspections and servicing of construction equipment to identify and address any issues

2. Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in a timely manner

3. Performing maintenance and repairs on construction equipment, including engines, transmissions, and other components

4. Documenting all maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with company policies and procedures

5. Collaborating with the operations team to ensure the availability and optimal performance of construction equipment

6. Adhering to all health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment

What we're looking for

1. Formal training or qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field

2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a mechanic, specialising in the maintenance and repair of construction equipment

3. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems of construction machinery

4. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of construction projects

6. Excellent communication skills to liaise with the operations team and provide status updates

7. Commitment to safety and a willingness to adhere to all relevant regulations and procedures
