Job Purpose
- To support all material planning activities to ensure parts & material availability for asset turnaround maintained by various Technical Services sections with minimal downtime.
- To ensure all planned job plans are updated with material requirements for parts forecasting and cost calculation, including preventive maintenance, refurbishment, and other planned jobs.
- To ensure the Bill of Material (BOM) is updated and maintained.
- To track work orders awaiting parts and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to expedite parts delivery.
- To perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.
Accountabilities
Plan
- Ensure that materials, spare parts, and support equipment required for maintenance are planned and available to meet service levels.
- Monitor stock levels for rotables and repairables to maintain sufficient inventory based on asset type across dTS business units.
Execute
- Establish and adjust reorder levels in collaboration with P&L to support future demand.
- Manage refurbishment parts delivery to ensure parts availability per refurbishment plans.
- Review inventory levels and parameters, providing recommendations as needed.
- Identify interchangeable parts based on OEM specifications to avoid duplication.
- Update on pending parts requisitions daily and liaise with P&L and stakeholders for actions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, OEM/Vendors, and Workshops to resolve parts issues and prevent shortages.
- Identify non-stock parts for inventory conversion to prevent equipment downtime.
- Produce reports supporting material planning activities and monitor delays and deliveries.
- Align plans and processes with other dTS sections to meet departmental KPIs.
- Follow departmental policies, SOPs, and safety procedures diligently.
- Report safety concerns and comply with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
- Act as a safety role model, wear PPE, and conduct work safely.
Experience
- Bachelor Degree with 2-3 years in maintenance/material management/inventory control in Ground Handling, Air Cargo Handling, Automotive, or Manufacturing industries.
- OR Diploma with 4-6 years in similar fields.
Knowledge / Skills
- Experience with maintenance management systems, especially Material/Inventory Management.
- IT and computer literacy.
- Safety awareness.
- Knowledge of GSE/CARGO parts and inventory control.
- Proficient communication skills.
