HRLinked Asia Search & Consultancy Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Material Planner to align manufacturing capacity with customer demand and ensure material availability. You will schedule production, manage MRP, and collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, and warehouse to support efficient operations.

Candidate should have 1–2 years in supply chain planning and strong MS Office skills. SAP S/4HANA exposure is preferred. This role offers career growth in the automation and control machine sector.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in demand management, manufacturing planning, or supply chain execution
• Proficient with MS Office; SAP experience preferred
• Diploma or degree in SCM or Engineering required

Responsibilities

• Planning & Scheduling: converts customer demand into feasible production schedules and generates planning docs
• Material & MRP Management: manages MRP execution and aligns material lists with customer demand
• Operational Coordination: coordinates with sales, engineering, purchasing, and warehouse to resolve capacity and material conflicts
• Inventory & Quality Control: investigates stock discrepancies, conducts stocktakes, and reduces excess inventory
• Reporting & Compliance: prepares performance reports and supports Quality Management Systems

The Material Planner is responsible for aligning manufacturing capacity with customer demand, ensuring material availability, and managing the production schedule to meet delivery deadlines. The role involves coordinating across departments—including sales, engineering, purchasing, and the warehouse—to support manufacturing processes and maintain efficient inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning & Scheduling: Establishes production and manpower capacity, converts customer demand (sales orders/forecasts) into feasible schedules, and generates necessary planning documentation, including kiting lists and purchase requisitions.
• Material & MRP Management: Manages MRP execution, reviews material lists against customer sales to ensure requirement alignment, and follows up on delivery schedules for raw materials with buyers.
• Operational Coordination: Liaises with departments to resolve conflicts in capacity and material availability, issues internal and external kits, and monitors actual production progress against the plan to prevent delays.
• Inventory & Quality Control: Investigates stock discrepancies in stores and work-in-progress (WIP), conducts stocktakes, drives the reduction of excess and obsolete inventory, and monitors incoming material quality.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepares performance reports to highlight bottlenecks, maintains planning guidelines, and supports Quality Management Systems.

Requirements

• Professional certificate, diploma, or degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
• 1-2 years of experience in demand management, manufacturing planning, or supply chain execution.
• Computer literacy (MS Office) and familiarity with SAP, preferably the S/4 HANA Production Module.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
