Job summary

A leading scientific firm in Singapore seeks a Shipping and Inventory Specialist to perform general store/shipping functions, including receiving and packing. Candidates should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with SAP knowledge. Strong PC skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word, and good communication skills are required for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in store/shipping in MNC manufacturing environment.
• Good working knowledge in SAP system preferred.
• Proficient in PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform general store/shipping functions e.g. receiving, stock-in, picking and packing.
• Report defects and discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and conduct cycle counts.

Job description

Perform general store/shipping functions e.g. receiving, stock-in, picking and packing

• Report any defects and/or discrepancies to immediate supervisor

• Bin materials into designated storage locations

• Check material part number and quantity against the GR slip

• Update MRP system (if required) for materials movement and ensure inventory accuracy

• Pack/un-pack instruments in shipping (If deployed)

• Pick and pack small and large pack shipments (If deployed)

• Ensure work orders are kitted and issued to production lines within the deadline date

• Conduct cycle count and ensure inventory accuracy

• Ensure safety and security of the shipping/store area and report any discrepancies or
  breach of safety (whether written or verbal) to immediate supervisor

• Practice good housekeeping & 6S Team Member and generate reports for operational use.

Requirements

• Minimum secondary education, GCE “O” level or Nitec certification

• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in store/shipping in MNC manufacturing environment

• Good working knowledge in SAP system preferred

• Proficient in PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Words applications

• Good oral and written communication
