Master Data Analyst

Primary Function:

1. Translates business and user needs into system requirement specifications. Includes evaluation, analysis, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
2. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems, applications, and industry requirements.
3. Understands the business implications of technical solutions and assists in defining the technology solutions to support any future business requirements.
4. Ensures policies and standards adherence is consistent with Corporate/ Division standards. Ensures compliance with governmental regulatory requirements.
5. Ensures that IT applications meet the needs of the organization.
6. Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties on IT applications related subjects.
7. Prompt and punctual with deadlines and work hours.
8. Ability to work successfully in a team environment of both infrastructure and applications.
9. Able to execute IT projects applied locally or by corporates.
10. Keen awareness and appreciation for internal and external Customers.
11. Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Performs necessary product data management on recipes based on input from Technical, Operations, and/or QA.
2. Interprets new or changed requirements to determine the necessary modifications to existing recipes which may affect operations and overall system functionality.
3. Assists with the development of training materials specific to manufacturing business systems.
4. Assists in the development of requirements relative to system enhancements or improvements.
5. Ability to work in a highly structured environment and have a strong attention to details.
6. Assists in the development of SOP and training materials specific to manufacturing business systems.
7. Assists in processing and follow-up on all manufacturing documentation change control processes.
8. Investigate/troubleshoot plant process failures involving POMS and integrated control systems (included but not limited to SAP & LIMS) to allow optimization of system operation 24x7 hours.
9. Provide POMS information and technical expertise to customers and internal organization.
10. Communicate with project teams for regular updates, reports, and customer project evaluations.
11. Lead in Recipe design review to ensure the solution meets operation's needs.
12. Support SAP Master Data Management.
13. Ensuring the testing and change control strategies meet corporate policy requirements.
14. Responsible for solution testing and validation documentation in some circumstances.
15. Any other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Engineering/Science or related discipline
2. 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in SAP/POMS master data management; MES/LIMS
3. Prior experience in Recipe Management, but other functional knowledge will be advantageous.
4. Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical information into basic understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a diversity of people at an individual and team level.
