Job summary

SAID AL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking skilled construction workers to perform carpentry and structural tasks on-site. You will lay out projects using simple tools, read blueprints, and measure and cut wood to specification.

You will assemble components, erect scaffolding, select materials, and ensure correct positioning with spirit levels and surveying gear. This role requires practical hands-on ability and teamwork on tall structures and challenging sites.

Responsibilities

• Create a layout for construction using rules and pencils
• Read and interpret blueprints for a structural concept
• Measure, cut, and shape wood materials using tapes, saws, and chisel
• Assemble and join structural components with the aid of nails, screws or adhesives
• Build scaffolding and ladders for construction work on tall structures
• Oversee the selection of construction raw materials to specify type and quantity of required materials
• Build sleds for conveying wood materials through unmotorable roads
• Ensure the positioning and alignment of structures using spirit levels, rules, and surveying equipment such as theodolite
