Job summary

KGI SECURITIES (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is looking for a technically capable intern to join their Marketing team. You will work on AI, web technology, and digital marketing, contributing to real projects from day one.

Your responsibilities include building AI-powered chatbot solutions, developing marketing tools, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Candidates pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related fields are preferred. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in a fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or holds a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with financial services or regulated industries is an advantage.
• Available preferably for minimum of 6 months.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a technically capable and creatively driven intern to join our Marketing team at KGI Securities. You will work at the intersection of AI, web technology, and digital marketing — building tools, supporting deployments, and collaborating across Marketing and IT. This is a hands‑on role where you will contribute to real projects from day one.

The Role: What You’ll Do

• Build and deploy AI-powered chatbot solutions using LLMs (locally hosted and via APIs), integrated with vector databases such as ChromaDB
• Develop front‑end and back‑end components for marketing tools and web experiences using JavaScript and Node.js
• Work with SQL and PostgreSQL to manage marketing data and support analytics pipelines
• Support security reviews and compliance‑aligned deployment of chatbot and web technology in line with MAS requirements
• Design and develop marketing web pages and digital assets using Framer; Figma experience is a plus
• Liaise between Marketing and IT teams, translating technical needs into marketing solutions and vice versa
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of web servers and hosting environments for marketing applications

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or holds a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with financial services or regulated industries is an advantage
• Available for preferably minimum of 6 months (flexible on total duration)

Technical Skills

• Familiar with LLMs and local deployment on Linux and Windows environments (e.g. Ollama, LM Studio)
• Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks
• Experience with vector databases such as ChromaDB, Pinecone, or equivalent
• Proficient in JavaScript and Node.js; Python or other backend language is a plus
• Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL
• Understanding of web server environments and hosting (local or cloud)
• Awareness of cybersecurity best practices for web and chatbot deployments

Design & Web Skills

• Hands‑on experience with Framer and/or Figma, or any relevant web design tools
• Ability to translate design mockups into functional web components
• Understanding of responsive web design principles, with the ability to update and maintain websites

Soft Skills

• Fast learner who works well in a cross‑functional environment
• Strong communicator who is able to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
• Comfortable working in a regulated financial services environment

This role operates within a MAS-regulated environment. All deployed tools and systems must comply with relevant data protection, cybersecurity, and financial services regulations. Guidance will be provided by our IT and Compliance teams throughout the internship.
