This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales growth. They work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize marketing efforts, analyse performance data, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The position is also responsible for developing, curating, and managing a diverse range of literary events, workshops, and projects that engage audiences and celebrate the art of storytelling. This role involves selecting and collaborating with authors, poets, and literary artists, overseeing event logistics, and creating educational opportunities to foster a deeper appreciation for literature within the community.

Responsibilities

Marketing and publicising ACWP programmes:

  • Manage and facilitate the various social media channels under the Asia Creative Writing Programme (ACWP) to optimise the content and reach to the different audiences (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, email).

  • Generate, edit and share engaging content daily on the different social media channels.

  • Formulate and execute ACWP social content calendar, including organic and paid campaigns.

  • Curate and direct video content (e.g. Instagram Reels) of ACWP courses/events for marketing or publications.

  • Develop and implement communication strategy for engagement with internal and external stakeholders to promote ACWP

  • Lead discussions with relevant stakeholders to ensure brand consistency.

  • Implement social media advertising strategies and boosting for various publicity campaigns and collaborative initiatives.

Rebranding of ACWP:

  • Plan and executive all rebranding initiatives.

  • Lead in market research on the literary scene stakeholders’ perspective of ACWP.

  • Enhance the design concept for ACWP, incorporating research insights and feedback from NAC.

  • Curate the branding guide, which will decide on the tonality and personality of ACWP as a brand and ensuring consistency throughout all marketing platforms and materials.

  • Overall marketing strategy taking into account various platforms, partners and formats.

Ticketing and PR:

  • In charge of all ticketing and registration aspects of ACWP.

  • Explore external ticketing platforms like PEATIX for ACWP.

  • Formulate ticketing strategies to incorporate marketing on the platforms to improve ACWP’s profile.

  • Point of contact for participants on enquiries.

  • Liaison officer for public feedback and complaints, hence always monitoring closely of comments on social media.

Programme Curation:

  • Developing, curating, and managing a diverse range of ACWP programmes, which include workshops, masterclasses, mentorship sessions and public engagement programmes.

  • Discussing with authors, poets, literary artists on the programme direction and setting the objectives of each programme.

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree in any discipline.

  • At least 8 years of marketing and rebranding related experience, with a background in organising literary events and familiarity with the local literary scene.

  • Strong graphic design and web design skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
