Position Summary
BD’s Specimen Management business is a trusted leader with a rich legacy of innovation and impact. We are looking for a bold, strategic, and entrepreneurial Marketing Director to lead the next phase of growth across the dynamic and diverse markets of Asia Pacific. This role is about reimagining the future, unlocking new value, and driving innovation in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership
Lead the development and execution of a refreshed marketing and business strategy aligned with global direction and regional market dynamics.
Develop and execute regional marketing plans aligned with the global vision for Specimen Management.
Identify regional growth drivers through market research, voice of customer (VOC) insights, business analytics and market sizing.
Own & partner with countries to deliver key business metrics including revenue, margin, pricing, and other metrics. Provide monthly analysis tracking leading/lagging indicators.
Develop, review, and support regional tactical plans to anticipate and address changes in market trends, customer needs, and external environments.
Lead portfolio performance reporting, including monthly updates, quarterly projections, and ASR.
Innovation & Growth Acceleration
Inject creativity and innovation to re-energize a well-established portfolio and reconnect with evolving customer needs.
Lead Marketing Plans and create playbooks to drive acceleration of portfolios across countries
Identify and drive new growth opportunities, including new segments, product initiatives (NPIs), and OEM partnerships.
Pilot innovative digital platforms and omnichannel campaigns in the region.
Product & Portfolio Management
Ensure optimal product mix, portfolio GP% adherence, supply chain alignment, and end-of-life (EOL) planning.
Act as the Voice of Region, maintaining strong product and country knowledge and feedback loops.
Market Influence & Strategic Alliances
Build strong evidence and partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to reinforce brand credibility and differentiation.
Strengthen BD’s value proposition through a solution-based, outcome-driven narrative.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with instrument companies and ecosystem partners to enhance end-to-end solutions and market access.
Actively expand BD’s external network through collaborations with clinical societies, lab associations, and healthcare influencers.
Business Performance & Leadership
Own business performance: revenue, %SGP, and marketing budget accountability.
Bring a strong understanding of key markets in Asia and ANZ, ensuring strategies are locally relevant and regionally scalable.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, HEOR, regional/country teams, and global stakeholders.
Actively contribute as a member of the SM Leadership Team and Global SM Marketing Leadership Team.
Lead and develop a team of 3 direct reports, fostering high performance, creativity, and executional excellence, while working closely with Country Marketing teams and partnering with Global Marketing Team
Promote a culture of experimentation, innovation, and resilience—comfortable with learning through iteration.
Leadership ability to influence without authority, develop and empower associates to achieve objectives with a team approach including careful delegation of tasks while maintaining responsibility for the final result
