Job description

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator for In-Person Events who will have an exciting opportunity to work on one of our top global accounts. This role acts as the on-site project manager for events.

What is the role, and how does it positively impact the business?

Marketing Coordinator – In-Person Events – this role is part of the Events team that focuses on in-person events coordinating the different partners that are part of the event.This role is highly collaborative and is integral to the success of Microsoft events in the area.

Your core day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Event Consultation: Subject matter expert in the centralized service teams events marketing. Ensures events follow corporate guidelines and leverages corporate reports to provide event insights and data. Basic support on the financial management of events and participates with the analytics team to build internal event metrics and KPIs.
  • Pre-Event: Acts as the project manager for on-site events coordinating with partner agencies and participants to ensure on-time execution. Tracks events per the defined processes and supports the creation of customer journeys related to the events.
  • Event Execution: Attends on-site events as per Event Lead request with active participation. Coordinate logistics such as catering and AV requirements.
  • Post-Event: ensures post-event email correspondence are delivered and ensures data surrounding event are accurate. Analyses data and prepares event insights to measure the effectiveness of the event.

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • Proven skills in written and verbal communications
  • Intermediate to advanced project management skills
  • Basic business, systems, and process analysis
  • Demonstrated understanding of event marketing
  • Relationship management, collaboration and quick thinking
  • Knowledge of Microsoft brand and products

Required Experience:

  • University degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years solid marketing communications (agency or client side) with focus as Project Manager
  • Strong event and project management experience
