Purpose of the Role
The Marketing Consultant is responsible for providing expert advice, strategies, and practical solutions to improve the organisation’s marketing effectiveness. This role involves analysing current marketing performance, identifying gaps and recommending initiatives to enhance brand awareness, lead generation and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Consultation
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing marketing plans, campaigns and branding strategies.
- Provide tailored recommendations based on market research, competitive analysis and industry trends.
- Advise on short-term and long-term marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Campaign Development & Advisory
- Assist in conceptualising and planning marketing campaigns (online and offline).
- Recommend tools, platforms and channels suitable for target audience engagement.
- Offer creative direction and feedback on messaging, visuals and content.
Brand & Positioning Guidance
- Evaluate brand perception and provide strategies to strengthen positioning in the market.
- Ensure all communication materials and campaigns are consistent with brand identity.
Digital Marketing Strategy
- Recommend digital marketing practices including SEO, SEM, social media strategy and content marketing.
- Suggest improvements to website design, user experience, and conversion optimisation.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Conduct marketing workshops or training sessions for internal staff, where required.
- Share insights, frameworks, and templates to build internal marketing capability.
Performance Review & Optimisation
- Review and evaluate campaign effectiveness, providing actionable insights.
- Assist in defining KPIs and implementing tracking mechanisms to measure ROI.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
- Proven experience as a marketing consultant or similar role, preferably across diverse industries.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex issues into actionable solutions.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in the travel, retail, or service industry,
