As part of the global network of Alliances Françaises, it is one of the most active in Asia, offering a wide range of French language courses for all ages and organizing diverse cultural events, including exhibitions, film screenings, and festivals. Beyond teaching, Alliance Française acts as a cultural bridge between France and Singapore, fostering dialogue, community engagement, and celebrating French art de vivre.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Marketing & Communication Manager, the Marketing & Business Development Executive plays a crucial role in enhancing the visibility, relevance, and growth of Alliance Française de Singapour’s offerings. The role focuses on market analysis, customer retention and acquisition, and fostering strategic external partnerships, with an emphasis on engaging diverse communities in Singapore and supporting data-driven decision-making for the management team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Digital Marketing

  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager, including SEM, SEO, email marketing, and targeted campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to the website and social media platforms.
  • Support the tracking and analysis of digital marketing metrics to optimize performance and engagement.
  • Coordinate with communication assistants to create marketing content such as brochures, emails, and website content highlighting courses and events.

2. Market Research for Product Development

  • Conduct regular surveys, including customer satisfaction assessments, to gather market insights and better understand audience preferences.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor offerings to identify differentiation opportunities and suggest new services, workshops, or program formats based on data insights.
  • Update and enrich customer and school contact databases.

3. Partnerships for Membership & PR

  • Maintain and seek sponsorships for Alliance Française’s members, ensuring benefits are provided and contracts are renewed regularly.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication Manager to foster good relationships with journalists and media contacts.

4. Marketing Events & Promotions

  • Coordinate with the Language Center to participate in marketing events, both internal (e.g., Trial classes, French Thursday, Open Day) and external (e.g., exhibitions, fairs).
  • Manage the preparation of goodies for welcome kits and events.
  • Plan the marketing budget and monitor expenditures regularly.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to management through regular updates and results tracking.

5. Customer Acquisition & Engagement

  • Work with the Director of Studies to identify and engage new sales leads, targeting companies, schools, and community groups to promote French classes.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with corporate partners to enhance program visibility.
  • Create and implement age-specific recruitment strategies for toddlers, kids, teens, and adults.
