Growth Hacker, Business Development (Southeast Asia)

Location: Singapore or Remote from Southeast Asia

About The Role

Omio is looking for a hands-on hustler to join our Southeast Asia expansion team. This is not your typical marketing role. We need someone who thrives on creative street-level growth, builds relationships with local partners, and is ready to hit the ground running. To perform events, build OOH campaigns and more engage with local tourism boards

If you're scrappy, entrepreneurial, and deeply connected to the cultural and digital ecosystems of Southeast Asia, this is your chance to grow a global brand with local muscle.

What You’ll Do

  • Launch grassroots campaigns. Design and execute local stunts, activations, and on-ground initiatives to grow brand awareness and drive user acquisition.
  • Build local partnerships. Identify and close deals with travel agencies, student communities, bars, hostels, and tourism operators.
  • Lead offline growth. Go beyond digital by owning distribution, presence, and activation across key SEA cities and traveler touchpoints.
  • Scout unconventional channels. Test and scale local ideas for rapid user and revenue growth, such as transit ads, university flyers, and co-branded events.
  • Act as Omio’s local growth lead. Represent Omio in the field, sourcing opportunities others don’t see and making them happen quickly.

  • Entrepreneurial operator. You love building from scratch and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • SEA-native or deeply connected. You know the region’s cities, behaviors, and partnership landscape in depth.
  • Deal closer. You’re confident walking into a café or hostel and pitching Omio as a growth partner.
  • Creative thinker. You bring clever, cost-effective ideas to build awareness and usage without big budgets.
  • Adaptable communicator. Comfortable interacting with everyone from local vendors to cross-functional global teams.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in business development, field marketing, startup growth, or community operations. Freelancers are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and execute offline growth initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; persuasive and comfortable in face-to-face negotiations.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of a SEA regional language (Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa, or Mandarin) is a plus.
  • Background in travel, mobility, lifestyle, or startups is highly desirable.
