As the national recruiter for the National Blood Programme, we play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and sustainable blood supply for Singapore. Despite the critical need for blood, less than 2% of Singapore’s residential population are blood donors. There is an ongoing need to build a sustainable donor pool towards ensuring a healthy and constant supply of safe blood at all times to meet the nation’s transfusion needs. BDP’s mission is aligned with the following key objectives:

  1. Educate the general public on the importance of blood donation towards converting and recruiting eligible new donors.
  2. Retain new and first-time donors and convert them into regular, committed donors.
  3. Recognise and celebrate regular and champion blood donors and, in turn, inspiring and retaining a new generation of blood donation advocates.
  4. Engage and recruit youths to actively participate in and champion the cause for blood donation.
  5. Build a strong, supportive network of blood donors for long-term involvement in blood donation through impactful campaigns, events and outreach.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with BDP’s key partners, agencies, vendors and external & internal stakeholders to plan, develop and execute marketing campaigns, events and deliverables (e.g., social media, influencer collaborations, email marketing, and digital advertising) to promote blood donation awareness, blood donor retention and recognition.
  2. Conceptualize and create engaging youth-focused content for various social media channels (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Telegram, Lemon8), including short-form videos (e.g., Reels, TikToks) and Gen-Z-oriented engagement strategies to engage and recruit new donors.
  3. Assist in managing social media accounts and engaging with the online community across various digital platforms by producing marketing materials (e.g., articles, blog posts, vlogs, and visual content) to drive conversations around blood donation.
  4. Coordinate with agencies to ensure consistent, high-quality and timely delivery of design assets and collaterals for campaigns, while supporting procurement and production of branded merchandise and marketing materials.
  5. Assist in creating, editing, and proofreading marketing materials such as brochures, social media posts, website content and presentation slides and email marketing campaigns.
  6. Support in research of youth engagement trends and propose innovative strategies to optimize marketing efforts and reach younger audiences.
  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and departments to provide marketing support and strategic input.
  8. Support in tracking and measure campaign performance while coordinating with stakeholders to prepare and provide feedback for improvement.
  9. Handle marketing operations, including purchase orders, stock management, delivery tracking and budget tracking.
  10. Organize and maintain up-to-date marketing materials.
  11. Perform any other ad hoc administrative work as required.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business Administration or a related field.
  2. Experience in marketing or event coordination, either full-time or internship level.
  3. Good written and spoken English. Proficiency in a second language (e.g. Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil) is a plus, as the role involves communicating with donors and partners who may be more comfortable in their native languages.
  4. Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google workspace applications and social media platforms.
  5. Enthusiastic about digital marketing, content creation, and staying updated on trends (social media platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok).
