A leading company in the aviation sector seeks a Marketing and Communications Specialist to manage global marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive B2B marketing experience, particularly in aviation, along with strong skills in SEO, social media management, and lead generation. Overview:
As the Marketing and Communications Specialist for MD ONBOARD, you will play a pivotal role in managing the marketing function for MD ONBOARD. You will be responsible for creating and executing marketing plans, promoting MD ONBOARD’s brand and value services to both Commercial Airline and Business Aviation clients globally. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic, analytical, and creative mindset with a passion for aviation and innovation in healthcare delivery. They must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders across time zones.Below are key responsibilities and roles associated with this position.
Strategy and Planning:
· Develop and manage an annual global marketing calendar aligned with product/service rollouts and industry events.
· Monitor competitor activity and provide insight-led recommendations to differentiate MD ONBOARD’s brand positioning.
Social Media and Website
· Responsible for the ongoing management, updating and optimization of the corporate website. This includes SEO, driving engagement and ranking. Paid search is included.
· Responsible for managing LinkedIn and other social platforms, including preparing and writing posts, driving followers and engaging with industry.
· Creative Skills, Experience and Proficiency: Photography; Adobe Photoshop; Retouching; Adobe Illustrator; Graphic Design; Writing with American Spelling; Video Editing.
Brand Awareness
· Provide strategies that focus on organic and paid methods to build and measure brand awareness for MD ONBOARD in the aviation markets with streamlined plans for the business / commercial verticals as MD ONBOARD enters new channels and markets.
Email Marketing
· Provide strategic nurture series plans leading target audiences through the sales and brand awareness funnels for MD ONBOARD.
· Provide audience education of services, thought leadership, and competitive advantages.
· Identify valid leads to pursue.
Product/Service Launch Marketing
· Provide supportive strategic marketing plans for new service launches that communicate effectively and expertly through various, relevant marketing channels.
· Ensure plans are prepared in advanced so to give proper set up and implementation time once service launches occur.
· Provide the opportunity to expand marketing strategies for services post-launch.
Industry Events and Engagement
· Work with the industry partners developing joint marketing campaigns, joint events, and speaking engagements.
· Provide event-unique strategies specific to the audience attending and the topics discussed.
· Provide ideas on how to engage with event audiences and how to strategically keep the audience engaged after the event, driving and nurturing leads.
· Provide supportive strategic marketing plans for new service launches that communicate effectively and expertly through various, relevant marketing channels.
· Outreach coordination with event organizers for media placements, speaking opportunities, and attendee lists.
· Prepare the booth experiences and strategy recommendations, prepare design brief.
· Evaluate design agencies and construction proposals, negotiate and submit recommendation to leadership for approval.
· Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the booth experience (including the content / displays / products) are delivered on time and per the agreed strategy.
· Develop custom landing page creation (copy/design/CTAs).
· Setup of campaign tracking (UTMs, QR codes, email analytics).
Public Relationship Support and Management
· Writing/Editing for op-eds, features, press releases, statements, etc.
· Reactive media engagement–responding by pitching the client into opportunities in the news cycle.
· Proactive media engagement/research to prepare for future US initiatives/opportunities.
· Distribution of statements, press releases, and op-eds written by the client
· On-demand Public Relations and strategic communication consultation-Call as needed
Analytics & Reporting
· Regularly measure performance of all digital campaigns and initiatives (SEO, social, email, paid) and make data-driven decisions.
· Produce quarterly reports with KPIs on lead generation, engagement, conversion, and brand growth.
This role demands a strategic mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to drive the marketing agenda in alignment with MD ONBOARD's overall objectives. As a full-time role, the Marketing Specialist is expected to efficiently manage time and focus on high-impact initiatives, managing strategies, executing on plans as required.
Experience:
· It is expected that the candidate would write their own copy for press releases, posts, campaigns.
· The candidate is expected to have a sound understanding of how to manage LinkedIn sites and be proficient in WordPress for SEO optimization and achieving optimal ranking. Experience in GA4.
· Experience with Generative AI.
· Experience with HubSpot for lead management, campaign management.
· Minimum of 5 years marketing experience in B2B, Professional Services managing global multi-channel marketing campaigns in regulated industries within Aviation strongly preferred.
· Proven success in lead generation and conversion funnel optimization in a B2B context.
· Must have hands-on experience in creating copy for media releases, LinkedIn and website posts.
· Tertiary qualifications in marketing including digital marketing and communications.
· Post-graduate qualifications in marketing strongly preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and project management; able to meet multiple concurrent deadlines.
· Travel expectation: Occasional international travel to events.
