Market Financial Controller Role

The Market Financial Controller is part of the Internal Finance and Group Finance Control team, responsible for the monthly review of market financials in accordance with local GAAP, IFRS, and TMF Group policies, as well as the preparation of Statutory Annual Accounts. You will collaborate closely with the Group Controller and Market Finance Director to review monthly reports and liaise with TMF offices across the market to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review, assess, and facilitate the adoption of accounting standards such as local GAAP and International Accounting Standards.
2. Oversee accounting operations, review revenue and costs, and analyze balance sheet positions specific to the market.
3. Ensure effective controls, policy compliance, and verification of financial statements.
4. Prepare statutory financial statements and monitor local statutory audit and tax deadlines for timely submissions.
5. Maintain an effective risk management process and sound control environment, ensuring ongoing compliance.
6. Streamline organizational structure, which may involve entity liquidation or amalgamation.

Minimum Requirements

• Certified accountant (e.g., CPA, ACCA, etc.)
• At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
• Strong knowledge of financial systems (e.g., MS D365, OneStream)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good working attitude, interpersonal, and leadership skills
