Job description

The Regional Market Development Director will lead the strategic marketing initiatives and business development efforts for BDB across the CASAJ region. This role involves collaborating with country business leaders and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities, identify additional growth opportunities from untapped markets or underpenetrated product segments, establish and strengthen a strong competitive position leveraging our unique portfolio offering, managing business cases, and ultimately execute regional strategies to achieve revenue targets. The incumbent will be responsible for driving market analysis, customer insights, and portfolio management to establish category leadership and enhance market presence.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    Lead the BDB CASAJ market development activities via developing and executing critical regional growth initiatives.
    Leverage BDB product offerings to identify additional growth opportunities from untapped markets or underpenetrated product segments
    Create and implement the market development strategies and plans
    Provide regional input into WW new product strategies, market analysis, customer needs, portfolio management, marketing collaterals, and other market development imperatives.
    Develop relationships with key opinion leaders for various regional market development initiatives.
  • Business Development:
    Work with CASAJ country business leaders and marketing teams to identify attractive spaces, develop business cases, and facilitate discussions and decision-making processes.
    Collaborate with country business leaders on awareness creation/demand generation programs and market shaping. Assess and identify opportunities to shape, develop, and direct market growth
    Collaborate with thought leaders in application direction, data generation and advocacy creation.
    Support sales lead generation and market development for BDB portfolio. Work across cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and applications

Project Management:

  • Provide active support and/or leadership on market development and growth-related projects and deep-dive workshop sessions such as regional and country growth initiative sessions.
  • Oversee country and regional Market Development requests.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's Degree required.
    MBA preferred with a focus on Marketing or Healthcare Management.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic or product marketing in the pharmaceuticals or medical device industry, including experience as a marketing leader for a region/country.
    Strong demonstrated strategic marketing, planning, market analysis, and leadership capabilities to produce the anticipated revenue results.
    Experience leading a cross-functional and/or cross-country team.
    Highly motivated, execution-focused leader with the ability to self-define role and activities necessary to create and execute regional initiatives.
    Experienced at creatively and successfully identifying and developing new markets and revenue growth opportunities.
    Experienced at developing deep, rigorous, analytical analysis that drives business decisions and strategy.
    Deep understanding of CASAJ markets and/or working experience in CASAJ is a plus.
