Job summary

NORTH ROCK CAPITAL MANAGEMENT (SG) PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly capable backend developer to design, implement and maintain scalable trading backend services in a fast-paced financial environment.

You will work with Java, Spring, Kafka, NATS JetStream, Docker and Kubernetes on Linux, provide level 3 production support and collaborate with data and risk teams to ensure low latency, high reliability, and robust API integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Math/Physics/Finance.
• Experience in market data and reference data domains.
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency, event-driven systems.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg BPIPE and its API.
• Strong Java expertise including collections, multithreading and memory management.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, Kafka and NATS JetStream.
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes and Linux administration.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries and integrate REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing backend services.
• Design, develop, and implement new backend services and APIs.
• Investigate production issues by analyzing application behavior, logs, and system performance to identify and resolve root causes.
• Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and improvements for existing applications.
