Job summary

IG ASIA PTE. LTD. seeks a senior market analyst and thought-leader to deliver authoritative analysis across equities, forex, indices, and commodities.

You will lead the development of IG's market commentary and collaborate with Product, Trading, Content, and Social Media teams to translate complex market narratives into engaging, multi-format content. You will monitor economic data, central bank policies, and geopolitical events to provide actionable context for clients and stakeholders,

Qualifications

• Experience spanning financial markets analysis and media or content production with a proven track record of influential, high-quality market commentary.
• Deep working knowledge of equities, forex, indices, and commodities.
• Proven ability to translate complex, fast-moving market dynamics into clear, compelling content for retail and sophisticated trading audiences.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, trading, or commercial teams to embed market intelligence into business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, authoritative analysis across equities, forex, indices, and commodities reflecting macro and micro market trends.
• Produce high-quality external market content including daily briefings, equity outlooks, and long-term thought pieces.
• Monitor and interpret economic data releases, central bank policies, geopolitical events, and corporate earnings to provide actionable context for clients and stakeholders.
• Represent IG as a trusted commentator in tier 1 media to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
• Lead development of IG’s market commentary proposition to create differentiated, accessible content that attracts and retains active traders.
• Build and maintain IG's reputation as a trusted source of market intelligence through consistent, high-calibre thought leadership published across digital channels.
• Collaborate with Content and Social Media teams to translate complex market narratives into engaging, multi-format content tailored for diverse client audiences.
• Track competitor content strategies and market commentary offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
• Provide actionable marketing intelligence to guide campaign strategy, content planning, and audience targeting.
• Analyze client engagement data to identify trends, optimize content output, and enhance relevance of analytical coverage.
• Partner with Product and Trading teams to deliver structured market insights that inform platform development, product decisions, and trading strategies.
• Contribute to internal briefings and leadership forums by translating market developments into clear business implications for senior stakeholders.
• Support People function and business units by providing external market environment insights aligned with IG's commercial priorities

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring analysts or content professionals
• Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English preferred to build rapport and manage complex client conversations in these languages (language preference is role-related due to client communication needs)
