Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong background in finite element analysis, structural mechanics or impact/crash simulation.
• Experience in maritime/naval structures or damage assessment is advantageous.
• Ability to work with researchers and deliver within project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute nonlinear/explicit dynamic FEA simulations for drone–vessel impacts.
• Translate damage outputs into risk classifications for vessel subsystems.
• Create surrogate models to accelerate predictions across scenarios.
• Integrate outputs with crash-area prediction and risk frameworks.
• Collaborate with PhD students, operators, and project partners, and prepare reports.
