Job summary

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore invites applications for a Research Fellow position in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will study the hydrodynamic behavior of floating structures, performing wave flume tests, and developing numerical and analytical models.

We seek candidates with a PhD in Civil, Ocean, or Mechanical Engineering, a strong publication record, and demonstrated ability in writing and communicating complex research

Job description

A Research Fellow position (equivalent to Postdoctoral Fellow in many countries/regions) is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The successful candidate will work on research related to the hydrodynamic behavior of floating structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct wave flume tests and develop numerical/analytical models of floating structures.
• Prepare project reports and publish scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Assist the PI in preparing research proposals and supervising research students.

Job Requirements

• PhD degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Research experience in hydrodynamics and structural dynamics.
• Strong publication record in relevant research areas.
• Effective writing and communication skills.
• Experience in supervising research students and preparing research proposals will be an advantage.
