Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee vessels’ compliance with HSE standards and maritime regulations.
  • Ensure vessels are operationally ready for voyages and charters.
  • Manage audits and inspections (ISM, ISPS, MLC) and vetting processes (OCIMF/SIRE).
  • Supervise navigational matters, including passage plan approvals and navigation audits.
  • Liaise with terminals, oil majors, Flag and Port State authorities.
  • Maintain updated Q88 and HVPQ profiles.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Review and update the company’s SMS.
  • Support vessel crew in training, performance, and discipline.
  • Provide technical advice on vessel capabilities.
  • Part of the company’s emergency response team.
  • Handle projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master Mariner or Chief Officer (CoC Class 1 or 2) or ≥2 years shore experience with product/chemical tankers in HSE compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations.
  • High integrity with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented and able to guide and motivate crew effectively.
