Job Description:

  • Reviewing the charter parties, commercial agreements, and related company obligations to ascertain what has been agreed upon. Give the crew marine support so they can effectively complete the criteria for the voyage, the cargo, and ship upkeep.
  • Recognising possible deviations from operational guidelines and offering fixes to ensure the ship is operated efficiently in every way
  • Ascertain and set up the necessary certification for safe operation in compliance with the Flag State, Class, Port State Control, and marine laws, as well as the safety guidelines and fleet operational standards.
  • Oversees and keeps an eye on the general security, safety, and operational performance of ships in the maritime and commercial domains. Ensures that all trip planning, cargo loading, transportation, and discharging activities are completed on time and accurately; maintains budgets; visits and inspects ships on a regular basis; and participates in dry dockings with technical teams.
  • Creating risk evaluations and offering assistance and direction to the ship management group and the masters to effectively reduce any hazards.
  • Communicated and exchanged messages with outside parties, including brokers and insurance companies, for example. P&I entry surveys, vetting inspectors or businesses, and charterers
  • Maintaining and overseeing the vessel's filing system in CFM and on board in collaboration with HSSEQ, including but not limited to promptly investigating non-conformities brought up during inspections and audits of the vessel, reporting during rest hours and taking appropriate action, reviewing and responding to risk assessments, reviewing and approving work permits as needed, following up on incidents and near misses, etc.
  • Offer aid and support to seafarers regarding maritime regulations, human resource guidance, standards and policies that promote environmental and safety, and image building for the company.
  • carries out internal audits as needed by management and conducts vessel inspections for efficient operations, in accordance with company SMS and international regulations. Report inspections appropriately, and promptly take the appropriate action afterward. helps the crew prepare for pre-vetting procedures, such as internal SIRE inspections and Rightship inspections, among others. Respond to and provide information on internal and external audits, inspections, and vettings, such as SIRE, CDI, PSC, and P&I surveys, and examine paperwork pertaining to SMS safety. Get ready to respond to an external inspection, for example. sire, screenings, etc.
  • In collaboration with the technical manager, HSSQE, and technical superintendent, track, evaluate, and arrange for each vessel's navigation, communication, safety, and other equipment needs. Help the purchasing department locate suppliers and offers by offering advice.
  • Prepare and submit budget proposals for pertinent areas, such as nav/comm, paint, DD, safety equipment, deck area, upgrading of BWTKs, accommodations, etc., in coordination with the entire ship management team.
  • vigilant observation and tracking of the vessel's maintenance condition. Examining and approving pertinent requests and validating pertinent invoices
  • Participate in and provide the information needed for analytical monthly reports and client-specific analytical reports as needed and required, allowing the company's management and clients to get correct and timely information. As needed, shares information about operational concerns with clients.
  • Gives sea crew performance evaluations during dockings, inspections, and visits. Conducts interviews and briefings for ship personnel as requested by crewing management and the company; takes part in debriefings as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong familiarity with the environmental, commercial, and marine requirements for boats
  • It is advantageous to be well-versed in the OCIMF/CDI guidelines and criteria.
  • strong background and expertise in performing audits, investigating marine incidents, and adhering to HSSEQ regulations in the maritime business
  • solid familiarity with the relevant industry standards and regulations, statutory obligations, and international maritime regulations (such as SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM / ISPS Code). (OCIMF, CDI, Intertanko etc.)
