Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Fiberglass Repair Technician to specialize in fiberglass maintenance and repairs for marine vessels, from small crafts to large ships. This position demands technical expertise in fiberglass lamination, gel coat application, and both structural and cosmetic repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Inspect and assess fiberglass damage (cracks, delamination, osmosis, stress fractures).

· Read technical drawings and repair orders to plan repair procedures.

· Perform fiberglass layup, lamination, and gel coat applications.

· Prepare, sand, and finish surfaces to a high cosmetic standard.

· Fabricate new fiberglass parts when required.

· Ensure strict compliance with safety and PPE protocols.

Requirements:

· At least 3 years’ experience in fiberglass repair, ideally in a marine environment.

· Skilled in resins, composites, gel coat finishing, and colour matching.

· Proficient in fiberglass tools and repair techniques.

· Ability to work independently or in a team.

· Strong physical stamina and attention to detail.

· High school diploma or GED; vocational training in composites preferred.
