Job summary

A leading company specializing in shipbuilding is seeking a Shipbuilding Project Engineer in Singapore. The successful candidate will lead various marine shipbuilding projects, ensuring industry standards are met while coordinating with diverse stakeholders. Applicants should ideally have a degree in engineering and at least 3-5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in marine shipbuilding project engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies is a plus.
  • Experience in Hull and Outfitting / Mechanical and Machinery / Electrical and Instrumentation / Painting and Coating.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shipbuilding projects to meet scope, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Coordinate with naval architects, clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with ABS, BV, DNV, or Lloyd’s Register standards.

Shipbuilding Project Engineer

  • Address: Jurong East
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm
  • $5000 to $6000

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferably with experience in marine shipbuilding projects
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in marine shipbuilding project engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in any the following field an advantage: Hull and Outfitting / Mechanical and Machinery / Electrical and Instrumentation / Painting and Coating
  • Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes, including hull construction, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and outfitting preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/SolidWorks and automation technologies is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international maritime regulations, safety standards, and classification society guidelines (e.g., ABS, DNV GL, Lloyd’s Register).
  • Expertise in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Agile).

Job scope

  • Lead shipbuilding projects to meet scope, schedule, and quality targets
  • Coordinate with naval architects, clients, contractors, and vendors
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues
  • Ensure compliance with ABS, BV, DNV, or Lloyd’s Register standards
  • Track costs, milestones, and project documentation
