• Position : Marine Navigation/Communications Service Engineer - Up to $3,800 - Boon Lay - ALL WELCOME!

• Location : Boon Lay

• Working hours : 5 Days Work Week – Monday to Friday: 8.00AM to 5.00PM / 9.00AM to 6.00PM

• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $3,800 + AWS + Performance Bonus + 14 Days Annual Leave + Transport Claimable + Medical

• Duration : Permanent

• Industry : Marine Equipment

Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and service various marine navigation and communication systems including MARINE RADAR systems, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, MF/HF SSB, autopilots, maritime IT equipment, and VSAT systems.

• Conduct regular maintenance checks and inspections on installed systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure the continuous operation of onboard systems.

• Provide technical support and guidance to onboard crew members regarding the operation and maintenance of navigation and communication systems.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate installations, upgrades, and repairs as needed.

• Keep abreast of industry developments, regulations, and technological advancements in marine navigation and communication systems.

• Document all service activities, including installation procedures, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided, accurately and comprehensively.

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of marine navigation and communication systems

• Proficiency in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of MARINE RADAR systems, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, MF/HF SSB, autopilots, maritime IT equipment, and VSAT systems.

• Strong knowledge of IT/networking principles and protocols.

• General Operator's Certificate (GOC) is recommended.

• Familiarity with marine electrical and electronics systems is desirable.
