Job description

We are partnering a reputable ship owning company in Singapore to source for a Marine Manager. This is a chance to work with a reputable, forward thinking company who takes pride in their staff. This role will also enable the incumbent to play a vital role in showcasing safety across their fleet.

Main Duties:

  • Offer marine-related guidance to operational and project teams to ensure safe and optimal vessel operations.
  • Maintain compliance with international maritime regulations such as ISM, ISPS, OCIMF, and MLC.
  • Fulfill responsibilities as Deputy DPA and CSO, driving adherence to industry best practices and preparedness.
  • Manage vessel mobilizations, conduct audits, inspections, and dynamic positioning (DP) trials.
  • Mentor vessel Masters to enhance onboard leadership and marine standards.
  • Contribute marine expertise to tender processes and the planning of new projects.
  • Track fuel consumption and vessel movements to boost efficiency.
  • Represent the company in client safety discussions, risk assessments (HAZIDs), and relevant industry engagements.

Requirements:

  • Sailed to the rank of Master and holding a CoC Class 1
  • Currently overseeing a fleet of offshore vessels
  • ISM Lead Auditor Certification
