A leading maritime company in Singapore is seeking a Senior Marine Manager to oversee its tanker fleet management. Qualifications

• Background as Master Mariner with minimum 10 years of experience.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.
• Experience in ship management ashore and willingness to travel.

• Supervise and ensure safety & quality for tanker fleet managed by 3rd party.
• Procure marine insurances and assist with claims handling.

Job description

Responsibilities:

· Supervise, monitor and safety & quality assurance for the own tanker fleet managed by the 3rd party ship management company

· Perform annual owner’s audit to 3rd party ship management company

· Represent as owner’s representative for emergencies and work closely with 3rd party ship manager to ensure the emergencies are handled well to prevent the loss of lives, protect the environment, avoid any property & financial damage

· Procurement of marine insurances for the own tanker vessels and assist with claims handling

· Laise with HQ for vessel valuation and Sale & Purchase matters

· Assist the president/GM to liaise with HQ for the reports and work closely with all departments in Singapore

· Assist in tanker vessels’ marine operation including VLCC STS operations

· Assist the VLCC/FSU’s commercial chart party & terms negotiation

· Assist the risk compliance check & vetting and KYC for the clients and their daughter vessels & cargoes

· Assist the President/GM for the tasks assigned as required which including monthly/yearly reports (Mandarin) to headquarter etc.

Requirements:

· Background of Master Mariner in Marine/shipping (Min10 year experiences), Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Nautical studies, Maritime studies or equivalent. Sailed as Captain on tanker vessels is a plus.

· Vast experiences in ship management ashore, able to travel and visit the ships

· Fluent in English, Mandarin, both speaking/reading and written

· Strong communication, interpersonal, adaptability to new environment and team

· Good negotiation skills

· Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively, while as a team player
