A leading company in marine insurance is seeking an Associate Broker to manage direct and reinsurance broking. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in general insurance, including marine lines. Responsibilities include supporting brokers, managing ongoing policies, and liaising with various stakeholders to enhance business relationships.
ROLE:Associate Broker
PRINCIPAL DUTIES (include but shall not be limited to the following):
Direct and Reinsurance Broking within the marine insurance sector.
Marine lines including but not limited to;
H&M, IV, LOH, War
P&I, Charterers Liability, Defence (FDD), Delay
Builders Risks / Terminal Operators / Ship Repairers Liabilit
Supporting Brokers with producing slips, closing and accurately documenting insurance policies.
Managing ongoing policies re Addenda, declarations etc with the Broker in charge of the account
Proper filing and housekeeping of policy documents in the appropriate SharePoint folders
Adhering to Latitude compliance procedures including KYC, anti-money laundering, corruption and bribery and sanctions checking.
Ensuring you conduct business in accordance with the MAS regulations.
Ad hoc duties as and when required.
Liaising with Latitude staff in other countries and fostering team spirit across network of global offices.
Building and maintaining relationships with insurers, reinsurers and cedants
Building network to raise Latitude's profile with clients and insurers
PROFILE
Priority will be given to holders of Certificate in General Insurance (BCP, PGI, ComGI Exams)
1 year experience in General Insurance, preferably in Marine
Degree in relevant subject preferred
Organised, detail-focused, and team player
Computer literate, proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Able to communicate accurately and effectively with business partners via emails and phone
Strong desire and willingness to learn and progress
