Job summary

SINGAPORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY in Singapore invites applications for a research staff role focused on naval architecture and ship hydrodynamics. You will participate in and manage projects with the PI and Co-PI, delivering project outputs and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities include carrying out CFD simulations, developing ship design tools, and applying analytical methods for stability, resistance, propulsion, and weight estimation.

Qualifications

• Relevant competence in naval architecture and ship hydrodynamics.
• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture / Ocean Engineering or related field; master's/PhD advantageous.
• Experience with programming languages is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and manage the research project with PI, Co-PI and team to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• Carry out ship hydrodynamic and CFD simulations; develop naval architecture calculation tools.
• Work independently and within a team to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform ad hoc duties assigned by Supervisor.
