Job summary

Green Sails Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a technician to service and repair marine air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems aboard vessels. You will work with our senior HVAC engineers and receive marine-side training.

You will perform hands-on maintenance on chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and assist with leak testing, electrical troubleshooting, and reporting. The role may involve overtime, overseas travel for short assignments, with clear career progression to Senior Technician.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on experience servicing air-con or refrigeration systems
• Marine or shipyard experience is an advantage
• Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Marine or related hands-on qualification
• Ability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces
• Willingness to travel overseas for short assignments
• Class 3 driving licence is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot and repair marine air-conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems onboard vessels
• Service compressors (Carrier, Daikin, York, Sabroe, Bitzer, Copeland), AHUs, FCUs
• Perform leak detection, nitrogen pressure testing, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging
• Electrical troubleshooting on contactors, relays, overloads, switches
• Read wiring diagrams and control schematics to diagnose faults
• Conduct electrical checks including insulation resistance and voltage
• Carry out preventive maintenance onboard vessels
• Attend vessel breakdowns at Singapore ports
• Prepare service reports accurately
• Follow safe working practices onboard vessels
