Job summary

FABTEC ASIA ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks a motivated Junior Marine HVAC Technician to build a long-term career in the marine industry.

Fresh graduates with a technical background are encouraged to apply and progress to Senior HVAC Technician and Marine HVAC Service Engineer roles. You will assist senior engineers, perform preventive maintenance onboard vessels, and gain exposure to leak testing, system commissioning, and electrical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• NITEC/ Higher NITEC or Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration principles and electrical troubleshooting.
• Willing to learn and work in a marine environment.
• Physically fit to work onboard ships and in shipyards.
• Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting and repairing marine HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment onboard vessels.
• Assist with leak testing, nitrogen pressure testing, vacuuming, refrigerant charging, and system commissioning.
• Support servicing of compressors, condensers, evaporators, cooling towers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Assist in electrical troubleshooting of motors, contactors, relays, sensors, and control circuits.
• Prepare service reports and maintenance records.
• Maintain workshop tools, testing instruments, and equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures and customer requirements.
• Attend vessels at Singapore ports, anchorages, shipyards, and overseas when required.

• Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident, or candidates eligible to work in Singapore are preferred.
