Job summary

A leading marine engineering company in Singapore is seeking an experienced technician with extensive knowledge of diesel engines, especially slow-speed engines. Responsibilities include performing inspections, repairs, and leading a team of technicians, as well as interacting with customers and subcontractors. Qualifications

• Good knowledge of engines, especially slow speed engines.
• Experience with medium and high speed diesel and gas engines is advantageous.
• Leadership to manage a team of technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, installation, repair, upgrading, and overhaul of diesel engines.
• Communicate effectively with customers and subcontractors.
• Prepare service reports with photos upon job completion.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Good knowledge of engines especially slow speed engines which is a must; experience with medium, high speed diesel and gas engine would be an advantage.
• Possesses good leadership attributes, able to lead a team of technicians to achieve given task.
• Independently to perform inspection, installation (incl. engine alignment), repair, upgrading, troubleshooting and overhaul of diesel engines and auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to communicate with customer/ship owner reps/Class/sub-contractor including arrangement of work/entry permit through email and phone.
• Be prepared to travel extensively.
• Able to prepare a hand-written work done, with data recorded as per format templates and service report with photos, upon completion of job.
