Job summary

XPERT EMPLOYMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Marine Automation Technician to diagnose, service and calibrate automation systems aboard vessels.

You will troubleshoot PLC-based controls, read electrical schematics, and prepare service and commissioning documentation. Travel locally and overseas to support vessel operations is required. Diploma or degree in Electrical/Marine engineering and 3+ years in marine automation are essential.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: 3+ years in marine automation, offshore, shipyard, or vessel maintenance.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair marine automation systems aboard vessels.
Commission and calibrate automation and instrumentation systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators, and control panels.
Travel locally and overseas to support vessel operations.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Prepare technical reports, service reports, calibration certificates, and commissioning documentation.
Ensure all work complies with company procedures, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
