Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline in Singapore invites fresh graduates or mid-career professionals to join the Attach and Train Programme (AnT), a 15-month on-the-job training path designed to build a pipeline for Singapore’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and industry-relevant skills in a world‑leading biopharmaceutical environment, while eligibility is limited to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Higher NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process/Technology/Engineering.
• Eligible candidates: Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents only.

Responsibilities

• Execute key process operations to produce APIs and intermediates as per batch instructions and schedule.
• Learn Process and Workplace Safety and cGMP knowledge for manufacturing and demonstrate understanding.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and carry out short-term improvement projects.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure PPE and safety equipment are ready for use.
• Perform plant troubleshooting to minimize stoppages and safety or quality incidents.

The Attach and Train Programme (AnT) is a structured talent development programme designed to build a pipeline of skilled professionals for Singapore’s advanced biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry, supporting both current and future workforce needs. As a trainee, you will go through a 15-month structured on-the-job training programme with GSK, gaining hands‑on experience, industry‑relevant skills, and mentorship from experienced professionals in a world‑leading biopharmaceutical environment. We welcome applications from both fresh graduates and mid‑career individuals who are passionate about developing a career in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Role Description

This position reports to the Production Superintendent in our Value Streams (VS 1, 2 or 3) team and is an integral member of Production Shift Team. Responsibilities

• To execute key process operations in accordance to established batch instructions and schedule to make APIs and intermediates as well as plant changeover
• To learn Process and Workplace Safety and cGMP knowledge for manufacturing and to demonstrate understanding during execution
• To identify opportunity for improvements and able to carry out short term improvement projects to achieve benefit
• Inspects and maintains house‑keeping of his assigned area for clean and safe working conditions as well as ensuring that personal protection equipment and safety equipment are maintained ready for use
• Perform plant trouble shooting using appropriate problem‑solving tool to minimize plant stoppages and safety or quality incidents

Education / Qualification

NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process / Technology / Engineering related
