Job summary

Coherent is seeking a manufacturing technician in Singapore to support assembly, calibration, rework and quality testing across parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. You will collaborate with engineers to optimize processes and perform data-driven adjustments using appropriate software.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering with at least 2 years in manufacturing, cleanroom experience, hands-on skills in sub-assemblies, soldering, and handling chemical solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years in Manufacturing.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment and adherence to policies.
• Demonstrated commitment to housekeeping and safety practices.
• Hands-on experience with sub-assemblies, soldering, and handling chemical solutions.
• Ability to manage chemical solutions during cleaning process.
• Flexibility to work shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks across manufacturing operations including setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing for parts and final assemblies.
• Use software to collect and analyze data for online adjustments to products or equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop methods to optimize and control manufacturing processes.
• Work with engineers to conduct experiments and implement process improvements.
• Participate in abnormality detection to identify and resolve production issues promptly.
• Drive improvements in yield, scrap reduction, and OBQ performance.
• Contribute Kaizen ideas and engage in Small Group Activities (SGA) for continuous improvement.
• Participate in 6S activities to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
