Purpose

The Manufacturing Technician operates equipment and facilities safely and efficiently, maintaining them in good condition. They work closely with the team, emphasizing safety, quality, and efficiency.

Senior Operations Technicians are responsible for the smooth and safe operation of process stages, maintaining facilities, and assisting in work directions for technicians and deputies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform batch/unit operations safely, lead technicians, and carry out process checks.
  • Conduct routine mechanical checks and perform early maintenance and repairs.
  • Handle materials safely using appropriate equipment.
  • Accurately record batch and operation logs following good documentation practices.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, especially during shift handovers.
  • Assist in engineering tasks during process runs, changeovers, or maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, ensuring PPE and safety equipment are ready.
  • Participate in firefighting and first-aid duties as trained.
  • Troubleshoot plant issues to minimize stoppages and incidents.
  • Suggest and implement improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Professional

  • Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical API plant.
  • Experience with rotating shift work.

Technical

  • Knowledge of GMP, safety procedures, troubleshooting, and industrial standards.
  • Understanding of maintenance and operation of equipment.
  • Plant inspection and permit-to-work system knowledge (as needed).
